[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]If you notice yourself to be irritable, short tempered and agitated, or perhaps unusually hot and bothered with inflamed skin, rashes and heartburn, it may mean your Pitta is out of balance.
Pitta is one of the three energy types, or doshas, according to Ayurveda. Each of us possesses all three doshas in varying quantities, yet one or two types are dominant. When our doshas are in balance, we live healthfully and harmoniously. Out of balance doshas lay the foundation for disease and distress.
Pitta is the dosha that represents fire and water, but mostly manifests as a recognisably fiery characteristics. Pitta types in balance are energetic, optimistic, joyful, as well as intellectually sharp, driven and ambitious. When Pitta moves out of balance, this passion and zest can manifest as impatience, hostility and a general sense of being 'hot under the collar'.
In Ayurveda, certain cooling essential oils are used to cool Pitta energy down to a simmer, where they may move through life with a balanced body, mind and soul in their own vivacious way.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]
