A pure Shiitake fruiting-body tincture. The kitchen mushroom, done properly.
- 100% fruiting body, grown in Finland, bottled in the UK
- Dual-extracted (water + alcohol) · vegan & GMO-free
- Heavy-metal tested, every batch
How to use +
A simple daily ritual that takes about three seconds.
- Shake the bottle first. Natural sediment settles at the bottom. That is the real mushroom, so a quick shake mixes it back through.
- Take 1ml, one full pipette, around 20 drops. Drop it straight under the tongue, or stir it into a broth, miso, coffee, tea or a smoothie.
- Once a day, consistently. Shiitake is traditionally taken as part of a steady daily routine rather than now and then.
Good to know
- Taste: savoury and lightly sweet, with a natural umami depth. It stirs especially well into warm, savoury drinks and broths.
- How long it lasts: a 30ml bottle is about a month; 50ml is around seven weeks.
- Contains around 22% organic ethanol as a natural preservative; adding your dose to a warm drink softens the taste.
Food supplement. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Avoid during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and keep out of reach of children.
What's inside +
Three honest ingredients, and nothing else.
- Organic Shiitake fruiting body (Lentinula edodes): the actual mushroom, never grain-grown mycelium or fillers.
- Purified water: carries the water-soluble compounds drawn out during extraction.
- Organic ethanol (~22%): a natural preservative, and the second half of the dual extraction.
The detail
- Dual-extracted in water and alcohol, with ultrasound, for a full-spectrum drop.
- β-glucans ≥ 13%, and every batch is heavy-metal tested by an accredited lab.
- 100% fruiting body: the real mushroom, traceable from spore to bottle.
Suitable for

Lentinula edodes
Shiitake. The
tonic mushroom.
For centuries across East Asia, shiitake has been one of the most prized mushrooms, valued far beyond the kitchen and taken as part of traditional daily tonics. We kept that heritage and dropped the shortcuts: 100% fruiting body, grown in the cold forests of Finland, dual-extracted and bottled in small batches in the UK. The result is a liquid shiitake mushroom extract, rich in beta-glucans including lentinan: a clean daily food supplement to support your immune system, a few drops at a time.
“Clean, potent, and traceable from spore to bottle.”

Why ours is different
Most mushroom supplements aren't really mushroom.
A lot of what is sold as “mushroom” is mycelium grown on grain in a lab, often imported from China, mostly starch from the growing medium. Our shiitake mushroom extract is the actual mushroom: 100% fruiting body. Here is the honest comparison.

You're not paying more. You're paying for the actual mushroom.
How it's made
Two solvents.
One full-spectrum drop.
Shiitake holds two different kinds of compounds, and they don't dissolve the same way. So we run both extractions using ultrasonic-assisted extraction (UAE). High-frequency sound waves break open the cell walls so more of the active compounds release, and combine them into a single drop.
Draws out the polysaccharides and β-glucans, including lentinan, shiitake's best-known beta-glucan.
Draws out the lighter, alcohol-soluble compounds such as sterols.

Tested & verified
We show our numbers.
Every batch is independently tested by an accredited lab in Finland. These are real figures from the Certificate of Analysis linked below, not marketing.
In plain terms: clean enough to take every day.
The daily ritual
Three seconds,
every day.
Shake
Give the bottle a shake. Natural sediment settles, and that is the real mushroom.
One pipette
1ml (about 20 drops) into a broth, miso soup, ramen, coffee, tea or a smoothie, or straight under the tongue.
Every day
Best taken consistently. A 30ml bottle lasts about a month; 50ml about seven weeks.
Earthy and savoury. It softens beautifully into coffee, tea or warm water.

Good to know
Shiitake
questions, answered
Shiitake (sometimes spelt shitake), also known as Lentinula edodes, the black forest mushroom or xianggu (the fragrant mushroom), is familiar as a cooking ingredient. A shiitake tincture is a liquid extract and should be used according to its own directions, rather than treated as a serving of fresh or dried mushrooms.
No. Extraction and serving size change the product. Do not assume a tincture provides the same fibre, protein or nutrients as a portion of cooked shiitake mushrooms.
No. AHCC refers to a specific proprietary cultured-mycelial preparation. An ordinary shiitake tincture is not automatically AHCC, and research on one preparation cannot simply be transferred to another.
No. Shiitake and maitake are different mushrooms. Our range includes shiitake as one of six mushrooms; do not assume a blend from another brand contains the same combination.
Our shiitake is grown organically in Finland by a certified organic supplier, but we do not currently hold UK organic certification for this product.
Our recommended amount is 1ml a day (one pipette, about 20 drops), under the tongue or stirred into a drink. Follow the directions on your current bottle and do not exceed the stated daily amount. Measure the serving in millilitres using the supplied measuring device. Drop size and pipette capacity vary, so a full pipette is not a universal dose.
Ask a pharmacist or qualified healthcare professional before use if you take medicines or have a medical condition. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Keep out of reach of children and do not use if you are allergic to the ingredients.
Dual extraction generally means that water and alcohol are used in the extraction process. It describes how the extract is prepared, not proof of clinical effects, a guaranteed active-compound level or better absorption.
Shiitake has been taken for centuries across East Asia as a daily tonic and is traditionally used to support the immune system. Its best-known compounds are polysaccharides called beta-glucans, including lentinan. Our latest Certificate of Analysis shows beta-glucans at 13% or more. It is a food supplement, not a medicine.
Lentinan is a beta-glucan, a type of polysaccharide found in shiitake. It is water-soluble, which is why the water phase of our dual extraction matters. We quote total beta-glucans from the lab report rather than a separate lentinan figure.
Whenever suits your routine. It is caffeine-free, so morning or evening both work. Many people add it to a morning coffee or to a bowl of broth or miso soup at dinner. What matters most is taking it every day, consistently, over several weeks.
Yes. Its savoury, umami taste suits broth, miso soup, ramen and stock. Stir 1ml in once the bowl is off the heat. It is a supplement, not a swap for cooking with dried shiitake mushrooms.
Most people take it without any issues. Some notice a mild upset stomach, so you can start with half a pipette. Do not use it if you are allergic to mushrooms, and stop and seek advice if you react.
Yes. It is vegan and GMO-free, with three ingredients: organic shiitake fruiting body, purified water and organic ethanol. No fillers and no sweeteners.
No, shiitake is naturally caffeine-free.
Yes, around 22% organic ethanol, which acts as a preservative and is part of how the dual extraction works. Do not assume adding it to a hot drink removes the alcohol.
At the recommended 1ml daily, a 30ml bottle lasts about a month and a 50ml bottle about seven weeks.
Food supplement. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. A food supplement should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Keep out of reach of children.
