What are mushroom tinctures?
Mushroom tinctures are liquid preparations made by extracting mushroom material into a liquid. Ingredients and extraction methods vary, so compare the complete label rather than assuming every tincture has the same strength or composition.
What does medicinal mushrooms mean?
Medicinal mushrooms is a common search term for fungi discussed in traditional use and research. The term does not mean that a mushroom product is a licensed medicine or has been proven to treat a disease.

Are Ecodrop mushroom products certified organic?
No. Ecodrop's mushrooms are sourced from an organic producer in Finland and grown in clean, pristine conditions without pesticides. We do not currently hold UK organic certification for these products.
What is the difference between a tincture, powder and capsule?
Tinctures are liquids. Powders may be dried mushroom material or extracts, and capsules can contain either. Compare ingredients and the measured amount per serving; the format alone does not establish strength or absorption.
What is a dual-extracted mushroom tincture?
Dual extraction generally uses both water and alcohol during preparation. This describes a process, not a guarantee of a particular amount of active compounds or a medical benefit.
How do I choose a mushroom extract in the UK?
Check the exact ingredient, intended user, extraction method, serving instructions and how strength is expressed. Choose by verified product details rather than unsupported best or strongest claims.
Do mushroom tinctures contain alcohol?
Most of our tinctures do, around 22% organic ethanol. Read the current ingredient list for the exact bottle. Mixing an alcoholic tincture into water or a hot drink does not reliably make it alcohol-free.
How much mushroom tincture should I take?
Use the current product label and measure the stated amount in millilitres. Concentrations and pipettes differ, so directions should not be transferred between products.
