Our story
It started at home
Ecodrop began in London in 2016, with the two of us, Rosa and Pouyan, and a shared passion for plants, nature and creating products we genuinely believed in.
Rosa brought a background in chemistry, while Pouyan came from design and e-commerce. We combined what we knew, started small and learned the rest along the way.
In the beginning, everything happened from our home. We chose the ingredients, filled bottles, packed parcels and sent every order ourselves.
There was no big launch. Just two people, a lot of curiosity, and an idea we wanted to grow properly.
The early days
From our home to our first warehouse
As more people discovered Ecodrop, our home slowly filled with bottles, boxes and parcels. Every order was still chosen, filled, packed and posted by the two of us.
We eventually outgrew it and moved into our own workspace and warehouse. The business became bigger, but we wanted to keep the same care we had when every parcel left our kitchen table. Growth came gradually, one product, one order and one customer at a time.

Going to the source
We wanted to know where it really came from
As Ecodrop grew, so did our curiosity. We did not want to understand ingredients only through catalogues and specification sheets. We wanted to see where the plants grew, meet the people who harvested them and understand how they became the oils and extracts we used.
So we began travelling. Over the years, those journeys have taken us to growers, farms and distillers in different parts of the world, building relationships, asking questions and learning directly from the people who know these plants best.
In the field
Learning by being there
The more time we spent at the source, the more we learned.
We joined harvests, picked botanicals, worked alongside growers and learned how plants are prepared and distilled.
Seeing the entire process first-hand changed the way we choose ingredients, and gave us an even greater respect for what goes into every drop.
Learning the craft
We learned to distil for ourselves
Eventually, watching was not enough. We wanted to understand the craft ourselves. We learned about harvest timing, plant varieties, extraction and traditional distillation, working with the plants from the moment they were picked through to the first aromatic drops leaving the still.
When you have handled the plant, smelled it fresh from the field and watched it being distilled, you begin to understand just how much can sit behind one small bottle of essential oil.

Relationships matter
Some of the most important things we have learned have not come from laboratories or textbooks. They have come from the growers and distillers themselves.
We value working with people who understand their land, their plants and their craft.
Whenever possible, we build relationships directly with producers, visit where ingredients come from and choose them for their quality and character, not simply because they are the easiest option to buy.
Today, we work with farmers, growers and producers across India, Brazil, Finland, the USA, Morocco, Oman, Bulgaria, Madagascar, Egypt, France and Spain, building a network rooted in quality, trust and a shared respect for the plant.

Where curiosity becomes a formula
The journey does not end when an ingredient arrives. Rosa's chemistry background brings another layer to the process: researching ingredients, experimenting with combinations and developing formulas with the same curiosity that first took us into the fields.
Our workbench is where science, nature and everything we have learned from growers come together.
Ten years later
The same idea, a little bigger
Ecodrop today looks very different from the little business that began in our London home. Our range has grown, our team has grown and thousands of customers have welcomed Ecodrop into their homes.
But the things that matter to us have stayed remarkably simple. Stay curious about where things come from. Choose ingredients carefully. Keep learning. Be honest about what you make. Respect the people behind it. And never forget the customer who eventually opens the bottle.
