Background

There are many varieties of frankincense (Boswellia) tree across the world. Each produce a slightly different resin depending on the climate and the soil.
Fun fact: The difference in climate can also affect the quality and the diversity of the resin within the same species. But bare that in mind, not every Boswellia tree produces an aromatic resin. The main aromatic types are:

  • Boswellia serrata
  • Boswellia sacra
  • Boswellia frereana
  • Boswellia carterii

Boswellia carterii and Boswellia frereana grow in Somalia and Ethiopia. Boswellia sacra and Boswellia Serrata are the most aromatic and have the most medicinal properties out of all the other species.
The most valued species, Boswellia sacra grows in Oman and Yemen. Particularly Nejd region of Oman, is home to the finest frankincense sacra.

General Information

Since ancient times to now, Frankincense is well known to be a sacred substance and thus used in many religious and spiritual ceremonies. This is due to its ability to enhance mental clarity and focus, thereby creating the ideal atmosphere for meditation and mindful practices.
Our Frankincense Sacra is harvested from the resins of Boswellia Sacra tree in Nejd region of Oman (home to the finest Frankincense Sacra). The resins are carefully harvested using traditional hand tools with highest level of care. They are then hand sorted and sent to the laboratory to be distilled to form the premium finish product, that is the essential oil. The finest and the purest!

So lets start applying some magic onto your skin.

Haircare: It has profound uses for maintaining hair health. From adding shine and strength to cure dandruff and hair fall, this oil in a tiny bottle does it all.

Relax your mind and muscles: Calm your mind and body at the same time using a simple bath recipe (Find the recipe in direction section).

Aromatherapy: One of the best ways to indulge the goodness of Frankincense Sacra is to diffuse or steam the essential oil. The sweet and subtle aroma with a woody undertone is the perfect combination of scents for relaxation. Inhaling the steam will encourage slow and deep breathes, thus leading you to a calm and relaxed state. Some other benefits of inhaling Frankincense is that it increases mental clarity, relieve anxiety and depression and as said before it is an incredible meditative aid.

Directions

Skincare: DIY Face Serum/ Face Moisturiser; Add 10 drops of Frankincense Sacra essential oil into a 30 ml bottle and fill the rest of the bottle with any one of these carrier oils that fits your skin the best. Jojoba oil (troubled & acne-prone skin), Argan (Mature skin), Almond (oily skin), Fractionated coconut oil (Dry skin). Use this sacred face serum at night, on a freshly cleansed skin and wake up with a glorious, soft and vibrant skin.

Haircare: Add 3-4 drops in any carrier oil of your choice. Massage hair and scalp and leave for 30 minutes before wash.

Bath: Blend 4-5 drops of Frankincense Sacra essential oil with 2 tbsp of carrier oil of your choice, you can use bath or shower gel instead. If you do not have the time to make this before every bath, make a large batch and use 7 drops of the mixture each time and keep the rest for the next time. Now let’s start the retreat! Make yourself a bath and add 7 drops of the mixture. Step into the bath, relax your body and unwind. Now you will absorb the essential oil through your skin and the aroma that has uplifted your bathroom atmosphere.
