Background
As one of the most important commodities in global trade and a major cash crop, coffee is undoubtedly the world’s most consumed beverage. An estimated 500 billion cups are consumed every day across the globe. The Coffea arabica plant belongs to the Rubiaceae family and can grow up to 2-5 metres in height. The plant prefers an average temperature of 15-24 degrees C and requires rainfall throughout the year. The essential oil derived from the coffee beans is valued for its immensely invigorating scent and potent mental health benefits.
General Information
Ecodrop’s Organic Coffee essential oil is derived from the coffee beans through the CO2 extraction method. Coffee beans are sourced from our organic Coffea arabica plantations in India, certified organic by the UK Soil Association. The CO2 extraction method involves low temperatures that ensure little to no nutrient loss during the process. The extracted oil is dark brown in colour, slightly viscous, and has a distinctive aroma similar to that of a freshly brewed cup of coffee.
