Background

Thyme is a versatile herb used in various forms across the world. It is most commonly found in European and Mediterranean cuisines. With about 300 different varieties, Thymus vulgaris is the most popular. The leaves of thyme are the most valuable part and are widely used in Italian and French cooking. Its essential oil is often considered a must-have for a natural first aid kit. Extracted from the leaves, thyme essential oil has gained recognition worldwide alongside oregano and rosemary. Believed to have originated in the Mediterranean, it spread to Europe and beyond through trade.

Organic Thyme Essential Oil 10ml is a concentrated form of this traditional herb, valued for its robust aroma and powerful natural properties.

General Information

In ancient Greece, thyme flowers were gifted to knights and warriors as a symbol of courage. Nearly a century ago, thyme was even introduced into courtrooms to ward off diseases.

Ecodrop’s Organic Thyme Essential Oil is steam distilled from the flowering tops of organically cultivated thyme plants. With its rich herbal aroma and wide-ranging Thyme Essential Oil Benefits, it is a must-have oil for natural wellness.

Thyme Essential Oil is known for its antibacterial, antifungal, and antispasmodic properties. It supports skin health, promotes hair growth, boosts immunity, relieves coughs, and works as a natural disinfectant when diffused.

Q. Who should not use Thyme oil?

People with sensitive skin, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or individuals with epilepsy should consult a healthcare professional before using Organic Thyme Essential Oil 10ml.

Q. Can you put Thyme oil directly on your skin?

No. Thyme Essential Oil should always be diluted with a suitable carrier oil before applying to the skin to prevent irritation.

Q. Is there a difference between Thyme oil and White Thyme oil?

Yes. White Thyme oil is a rectified version of red thyme oil with a milder scent, often used in perfumery and cosmetics. Regular Thyme Essential Oil retains stronger herbaceous properties, making it ideal for aromatherapy and therapeutic use.
