Thyme essential oil is believed to help in reducing acne. It can be mixed along with a carrier oil to make a homemade facial mask. Thyme oil helps against hair loss when applied to the scalp. It can keep skin healthy, clear and clean when added to homemade facemasks, scrubs and toners.
For using thyme essential oil for skin and hair, it is recommended to dilute it by using carrier oils such as cold-pressed almond oil, jojoba oil or grapeseed oil.
It is known for having antispasmodic properties. It can help in the treatment of coughs, cramps, aches and respiratory problems. Thyme oil can increase blood circulation when used as massage oil. It has antifungal and antibacterial properties.
Thyme oil uses can be accessed by diffusing it at home and can be used as a natural insect repellent. It is a natural energy booster as well.
It has been observed to inhibit bacterial growth, which makes it very useful when diffused in restrooms.

Directions

Hair Treatment: Thyme oil is believed to be very beneficial to the health of our hair. Add 4-5 drops of thyme oil to 2 cups of preferred carrier hair oil. Massage this mixture on the scalp for 10 minutes. You can even keep it overnight. Wash the following day.

Daily Hair care:: Similarly, 2-3 drops of this oil can be added to a shampoo bottle of 200 ml.

Diffuser: A couple of drops in a diffuser and you are set for a thyme scented room.
