A penetrating and energising stimulant for the mind and body, black pepper essential oil can improve blood flow and elimination of toxins, making this spice useful for cases of arthritis, joint tightness and muscle spams.

 Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens)
A floral and refreshing scent, geranium essential oil is calming and sweet. It can soothe water retention by stimulating the circulatory and lymphatic systems while relaxing our mind and spirit.

Oil Massage

Circulatory Stimulating Essential Oil Blend
Ingredients:
  • 2 drops rosemary essential oil
  • 1 drop ginger essential oil
  • 1 drop black pepper essential oil
  • 2 drops cypress essential oil
  • 30 ml carrier oil of choice (jojoba, sweet almond, olive oil etc)
directions: 
  1. Blend ingredients in a 30 ml bottle. Store in dry, cool place and use when needed.
  2. For oil massage, apply the blend on your hands and massage against sore or tender areas. Incorporate long, soothing strokes towards the direction of your heart. 
 
Bath Soak

Baths are comforting ways to treat yourself after a long, hard week. Warm water can relax muscles and ease tightness in the body, while adding essential oils and salts to this practice can enhance your experience by promoting relaxation. Additionally, the warming oils in hot water can help the body 'sweat out' unwanted toxins.

Circulatory Stimulating Bath recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Epsom salt
  • 3 drops rosemary essential oil
  • 3 drops lemon essential oil
  • 3 drops ginger essential oil
  • a handful of fresh rosemary sprigs

 Warm Compress
Prepare a compress by soaking a towel in warm water with essential oils for circulatory and anti-inflammatory support.
Take caution with the temperature as you don’t want to burn your skin.
Add 5 drops essential oil in warm water. Soak a towel and squeeze out excess water, then apply on strained area for as long as needed.

  • In cases of varicose veins, do not massage directly on affected area.
