Background

The essential oil produced from the flowers of Roman Chamomile was used by Greeks for treating a range of conditions, including inflammation and infections. It was considered a gift for females because of its potent pain-relieving abilities during menstruation. Egyptians dedicated the flower to the moon because of its cooling properties. We all know that Chamomile is best known for its calming and soothing ability, but it also offers other properties like nourishing the skin.

Regular use of this oil evens the skin tone and is very helpful for relieving dark circles and puffiness around the eyes.

Haircare: Roman Chamomile oil nourishes the scalp with its rich vitamin and nutrients content. It heals damaged hair over time and protects the hair strands against further environmental damage. When used with shampoos, this oil is not only effective at deep cleansing but also replenishes some of the lost moisture.

Inhaling this essential oil during bedtime promotes restful sleep and supports a healthy immune function. Its aromatic compounds provide a sense of composure and help manage restlessness, hyperactivity, and negative emotions.

PMS symptoms: Roman Chamomile is a known antispasmodic. Massaging the oil in the lower abdomen reduces uterine contractions and relaxes the muscles, thus helping in painful menstruation and irregular flow. It also alleviates other PMS symptoms, such as mood swings, irritability, bloating, lack of motivation, etc.

Arthritis pain: The strong anti-inflammatory property of Roman Chamomile oil reduces inflammation of joints and relieves arthritic pain. Massaging the oil or adding it to a warm bath is also known to help in joint pain.
