Background


Citrus limon or lemon is a plant from Rutaceae family. It bears highly aromatic white or pink flowers and tiny fruits that are used in almost every corner of the world for its juice and many culinary purposes. The lemon tree can measure up to 6 metres in height, prefers warm temperate regions, and grows in acidic soil. It is native to South-East Asia region, mainly the Indian subcontinent.

General Information


Ecodrop's Organic Lemon essential oil is extracted from the peel of lemon fruit, grown organically in Italy and certified under strict Soil Association Organic Standards. To obtain the best quality oil, near to ripe (green) lemons are picked from the tree and stored, maintaining a PH value of 2.2 until they become yellow. This process increases the concentration of oil in the peel glands. The fruits are then peeled and sent for cold-pressing, which yields a thin yellowish-green liquid, which is filtered for use.

Uses

Skincare: Lemon essential oil moisturises, removes dead skin cells, reduces signs of ageing, and brings a golden glow to the skin. Its antibacterial properties remove pimples, acne, and control oil production.

Massage: Lemon oil is used to remove accumulated toxins. Body massage with a diluted version of this oil immediately removes muscle fatigue.

Cleaner: It’s very effective in removing stain from clothes, floor, and household items. Commonly used in house cleaners, Lemon oil disinfects the area leaving a pleasant fragrance.

Aromatherapy: Its scent has a revitalising and invigorating effect on the mind. Lemon oil is one of the most powerful essential oil on the planet for relieving stress. It stimulates the mind and creates a cheerful environment.

Air-Purifier: Diffusing this antimicrobial oil removes toxins from the air and eases breathing.

Directions

Skin lightening night cream: Add 10-15 drops to 30 ml of argan oil. Use it daily for pimple-free, glowing skin.

Diffusion: Add 4-5 drops to your diffuser.

House cleaners: Add 8-10 drops to floor cleaners and stain removers.

Bath: Add 2-3 drops to 10 ml of coconut oil. Add this to your bathwater.

Detoxify: Add 4-5 drops to 15 ml of avocado or coconut oil. Give yourself a full body massage. After 20 mins, take a warm shower. Do not use soap.

Beautiful oils and excellent quality - Beautiful oils and excellent quality. I've bought a few different ones now alongside the Geranium which are Rose, Lemon, Clove, Ginger, and Grapefruit. I use them in my diffuser mostly. The botanicals to relax but the clove and ginger are always at the ready for a bit of 'bug' killing if I feel a bit under the weather. I'm very happy with everything and am looking forward to getting more!

Wonderful scent! - The scent of this oil is wonderful! It’s like being in a lemon grove. I usually think aromatherapy oils smell a bit strange, but not this one. I bought it initially to add to a spider deterrent potion I made, which didn’t smell very nice without the lemon, but now I’m using it in a diffuser to make the house smell of lemon groves. I’ll definitely buy this again. It’s the best!!!
