Background

Citrus aurantium dulcis, commonly known as the sweet orange, is a tropical evergreen tree belonging to the Rutaceae family. The orange tree can grow up to 5–10 metres in height and has greyish-brown bark. Native to China, the orange tree is now widely cultivated all over the world for use in food, medicine, and cosmetics. The tree bears oval-shaped, glossy, dark-green leaves and profoundly fragrant, small, white flowers.
