If you like something light and fresh, explore citrus, eucalyptus and herbal fragrances. For something softer, there are lavender, rose, jasmine and other floral scents. If you prefer warmer home fragrance, look towards sandalwood, vanilla, amber, coffee, tobacco and resinous notes such as frankincense.

Do I need new reeds with a refill?
No, your existing reeds can go straight back in. Add fresh ones only if you want a stronger scent throw.
Will a refill fit any diffuser bottle?
It is designed for our own diffuser bottles, but works in any bottle with a similar neck width.
Is a refill the same scent as the original set?
Yes, matched exactly to the named scent, just without the glass bottle and reeds.
Is Ecodrop home fragrance essential oil or fragrance oil?
Our reed diffusers and diffuser refills use natural isolates and fragrance oil, not essential oil. Pure essential oils evaporate quickly, so a diffuser made purely from essential oil would lose its scent fast and unevenly, with little left to carry it through to the last drop in the bottle.

How do I refill a reed diffuser?
Unscrew the existing reeds, top up the bottle with the refill oil, then place the reeds back in. There is no need to wash the bottle out first.
How much oil do I need to refill a reed diffuser?
Our refills contain 100ml of fragrance oil, the same amount as our original sets, so one refill takes a standard Ecodrop diffuser bottle back to full.
Are reed diffuser refills cheaper than buying a new set?
Yes, a refill is cheaper than a full set since you are only paying for the fragrance oil, not the glass bottle and reeds again.
How often should I buy a reed diffuser refill?
Most people refill every eight to ten weeks, though this depends on room size, airflow and how many reeds are in the bottle.
Are Ecodrop reed diffuser refills natural and non-toxic?
Yes. Our refills use the same natural fragrance oil as our sets, made from natural isolates rather than harsh synthetic solvents, with everything listed honestly on the product page.
Is buying refills better for the environment?
Yes, reusing your existing glass bottle instead of buying new glassware each time means less packaging and less waste overall.
Can I mix scents when refilling my diffuser?
You can, though we would recommend using up the old scent first or giving the bottle a rinse, since mixing fragrance oils can create a blend you were not expecting.
How do I know when my reed diffuser needs refilling?
Once you can no longer smell the fragrance in the room, or the oil level in the bottle has dropped close to empty, it is time to refill.
