Background
Belonging to the Myrtaceaefamily, Eugenia caryophyllus or clove is an evergreen tree that can grow up to 9-12 metres in height. This aromatic plant can be found in India, Indonesia, and Madagascar island. The plant bears large green leaves and flowers that are usually white in the initial phase but their colour changes as they grow older. The colour transition takes place from white to purple to crimson red, when the flowers are fully matured. The flower buds produced by this plant are profoundly aromatic and have great therapeutic value.
General Information
Ecodrop’s Organic Clove bud essential oil is sourced from organic Eugenia caryophyllus plantations in India, certified organic by the UK Soil Association. The optimal concentration of oil is present in the fully matured clove buds, which is indicated by the colour transition of flowers to crimson red. This phenomenon happens during the spring and summer seasons. Therefore, clove buds are handpicked during the summer season and left to dry. Once dried, these are sent to the distillery, where the extraction of essential oil is carried out by steam distillation.

Great product – I always keep a bottle of Frankincense by the bedside and carry a bottle in my handbag. This is a great product and good quality at a reasonable price. I use it for swelling in my gums. I apply it before going to bed and in the morning the swelling has completely gone. Have given it to lots of people with toothache and it has helped them (horrible taste but to me, better than cloves) It’s also good on any arthritic nagging pain that I get. I’ve given so many bottles away to people who have need of it!!!

Use a couple of drops in a mouthful of water and swill your mouth – Great customer service, great product, I bought clove oil to rinse my mouth after I had a tooth out last week, helped to reduce pain and lower the risk of infection.
Thank you

A great quality essential oil – This is a very good quality essential oil. I used these types of oils all the time and this is one of the best I have come across. Yes, of course it smells of cloves, but it’s a richer, less stark smell than some oils.

Beautiful oils and excellent quality – Beautiful oils and excellent quality. I’ve bought a few different ones now alongside the Geranium which are Rose, Lemon, Clove, Ginger, and Grapefruit. I use them in my diffuser mostly. The botanicals to relax but the clove and ginger are always at the ready for a bit of ‘bug’ killing if I feel a bit under the weather. I’m very happy with everything and am looking forward to getting more!

Very happy customer – Love this product, on the first day using , I used a very few drops with my face cream, I felt a few stings , very minute which did not last long (probably had some small open areas on my face as I am a cook at work, maybe splashes from the pots n pans) used every day since , no more stings ,so can only think the clove bud has aided in the healing , will deft buy again from eco and my next choice is waiting in my basket to purchase, definitely a happy customer
