Yes, it is 100% pure organic coffee oil, Coffea arabica , with nothing added, bottled in the UK and GC/MS tested. Coffee is different from most oils, and we would rather you knew. Coffee beans hold very little volatile oil, so "coffee essential oil" is really an aromatic coffee seed oil : a rich oil, CO2 extracted from roasted coffee, that carries coffee's natural roasted scent. Ours is made in Denmark from upcycled coffee and its INCI name is Coffea Arabica Seed Oil. That makes it richer and gentler than a typical essential oil. It is not a synthetic coffee fragrance oil, which is what most cheap "coffee oils" are.

Yes. Its IFRA certificate allows 100% in every category , including face, body and hair products, and its safety data sheet does not classify it as hazardous. You can use a few drops on their own or blend it 1 to 3 with jojoba or sweet almond oil. Coffee absolute and CO2 extracts made for perfumery are concentrated scent materials, very expensive and mostly sold to perfumers. Coffee fragrance oil is synthetic. How to use & dilute

Everyday uses

Oil burner: 4 to 5 drops in the water dish over a tealight for a café-warm room.
Diffuser: 2 to 3 drops with 3 of sweet orange. It is thicker than most essential oils, so wipe the diffuser plate afterwards.
Face oil: a few drops on their own, or 1 part coffee oil to 3 parts jojoba. Patch test first.
Hair oil: a few drops worked through the lengths before washing.
Body scrub: 1 teaspoon into a cup of sugar and a little carrier oil.
Candles: as part of your fragrance load, with vanilla-style and orange notes.

How to dilute

Skin and hair: can be used neat; its IFRA certificate allows 100% in every product category. Patch test on the inner arm first.
Blends: mix with jojoba, sweet almond or coconut oil to soften the roast if you prefer a lighter scent.
Keep it fresh: store cool and dark with the lid on; a fridge keeps the roast aroma longer.

Every cup of coffee leaves behind beans still rich in oil and aroma. Our coffee oil is made in Denmark from upcycled roasted Coffea arabica, extracted with supercritical CO2 rather than heat.

The result is a warm, dark oil that smells of freshly ground coffee. It is a seed oil, richer than a typical essential oil, and gentle enough to use on skin.

Once it would have gone to waste. Now it scents your home and goes into your face, body and hair oils.

Can I use coffee oil in a diffuser?

Yes, with one tip. Coffee oil is richer and thicker than most essential oils, so it works best in an oil burner or reed-style blend, or as 2 to 3 drops mixed with thinner oils such as sweet orange in an ultrasonic diffuser.

Wipe the diffuser plate after use so the oil does not build up. For a stronger coffee scent in a room, our Vanilla & Coffee candle and reed diffuser are made for exactly that.

Will I have to pay customs or import fees?

Possibly, yes, and we'd rather tell you upfront. Orders delivered outside the UK can be charged local VAT, import duty or a courier handling fee on arrival. These charges are set by your country, not by us, and are paid by the customer. They're usually modest for small parcels, but we can't predict the exact amount.

Can I return an order from outside the UK?

Yes, you have 30 days from delivery, as long as the items are unopened and unused (a hygiene rule for oils). Return postage is at your cost, and we refund you in full within 3 to 5 working days of receiving the parcel. Just email us your order number first.

What if something arrives damaged or wrong?

That's on us, wherever you are in the world. Email a photo and your order number to support@ecodrop.co.uk and we'll send a replacement or a refund straight away, and we cover the postage.
