“I bought some and used it three or four times a day, the relief from the pain was amazing. I now only use this twice a day and feel comfortable wearing shoes again. It has also helped me with cramps in my legs at night.”

The range
What's in the bottle
An essential oil is the plant, concentrated: steam-distilled from lavender flowers, cold-pressed from orange peel, drawn out of frankincense resin. Nothing is added along the way, and our blends are pure essential oil blends too, never a synthetic fragrance oil.
We test what we can by GC-MS, bottle everything here in the UK, and write the label the way it actually is: ‘organic’ when the plant was grown that way, the botanical name and country of origin on every product page. Rosa’s background is in pharmaceutical chemistry, so this part matters to us.

Most people start with a smell they already like. Here is where to look.

Citrus
Sharp and sunny. Sweet orange, grapefruit and bergamot, the oils that wake a room up.

Floral
Lavender, geranium, ylang ylang. Soft, and mostly what people mean when they say calming.

Woody
Cedarwood, sandalwood, cypress. Warm and dry, a little bit forest floor.

Herbs
Rosemary, peppermint, clary sage. Green and clearing, good for focus and stuffy heads.

Resins
Frankincense and myrrh, tapped from tree bark. Slow, resinous, the oldest scents we sell.

Spices
Cinnamon, clove, cardamom, black pepper. The warm end of the shelf, best in winter.

Ways to use your oils
One bottle, several jobs. A few drops go a long way in each of these.

Massage & body care
Diluted into a carrier oil for a proper massage blend. Lavender and sweet almond is the easy place to start.

Bath & relaxation
A few drops mixed into a bath oil or Epsom salts, never straight into the water, since oil and water do not mix.

Room & linen sprays
A handful of drops in a water-and-alcohol base makes a natural room spray. Citrus and herbs work best here.

Candle making
Stirred into soy wax at pour, well below flashpoint, for a candle scented with real plant oil rather than fragrance.

Soap making
Added at trace in cold-process soap. Woody and citrus oils tend to hold their scent best through saponification.

Natural perfumery
Layered in a jojoba or alcohol base to build a personal scent: resins and woods as the base note, citrus up top.

More about usEssential oil guide
How to use essential oils safely
Get the most from your oils with a few simple habits: how to diffuse them, how to dilute them for the skin, and how to store them so they last.
Need help? Our team can guide youThree to six drops in water, in an electric or reed diffuser. Half an hour on, half an hour off is plenty. Give the room some air too, especially around pets.
Never neat on skin. Blend into a carrier oil first: jojoba, sweet almond, grapeseed. Roughly 1% for the face (a drop per 10 ml), 2% for the body.
Patch-test on your inner arm and wait a day. Keep it away from eyes and broken skin. Citrus oils and strong sun do not mix, so leave a few hours.
Lid on, upright, out of the sun, in the amber glass it came in. Citrus oils are best inside a year; most others keep two to three.
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Not for internal use. Stop using and speak to a doctor if irritation occurs, and check with one first if you are pregnant.

Essential oil FAQs
Anything not covered here, our team answers personally.

What are essential oils?
The aromatic part of a plant, concentrated. Distilled or pressed from flowers, leaves, peel, wood or resin, with nothing added. Because they are so concentrated, a few drops go a long way.
How do I choose one?
Start with a scent you like, since you will actually use it. Then think about how: relaxing, waking up, clearing your head, or scenting a room. Every product page spells out the aroma, the origin and the usual uses.
Do they need diluting?
On skin, yes, always in a carrier oil first. About 1% for the face, 2% for the body. In a diffuser, the drops go straight into the water.
Can they go on skin?
Most can, once diluted and patch-tested. Avoid eyes and broken skin, take care with citrus oils before sun, and check with a professional if you are pregnant or using them on children.
How should I store them?
Somewhere cool and dark, lid tight, upright, in the amber glass. That is what keeps them good for longest.
What's the difference between a single oil and a blend?
A single oil is one plant, on its own: lavender is just lavender. A blend combines several single oils in a fixed recipe, so you get a considered aroma without measuring drops yourself. Both are 100% pure essential oil; nothing synthetic goes into either.
How long do they last?
Depends on the oil. Citrus about a year, most others two to three, resins and woods like frankincense and patchouli four to six. If it smells sharp or turns cloudy, replace it.
Can I use essential oils internally?
No. Our essential oils are for external use only, in a diffuser, diluted on the skin, or around the home. None of our essential oils are intended for internal use or ingestion.
Do you provide MSDS, IFRA and GC-MS documents?
Yes. Every essential oil product page has downloadable documents: a Safety Data Sheet (SDS/MSDS), an IFRA certificate and a GC-MS purity test report where applicable, so you always know exactly what is in the bottle.
